Most of our readers have the Microsoft Office package installed on your computer, and of course, one of the best tools that we can find inside is Excel, a spreadsheet with multiple options that allows us to save a lot of time and effort. But in order to get the most out of it, it is important to learn to use the macros, and for this today Let's start by learning how to add the Developer tab.
What is the Developer tab
When we open Excel, at the top we can see a series of tabs that are activated by default and that allow us to use the main features of the program.
We can find Archive which is where we will have access to guarded, templates and general characteristics related to the document, the tab Home where we access the main management options of the text y cells, the eyelash Insert that allows us add elements to our document, the tab Integrated page which, as it says, gives us access to the different possibilities to change the format and design of the page, the Formulas tab with an extensive function library and different calculation options, the eyelash Data with new tools, schemes, connections, etc., the tab Check to control the data entered in the document and avoid errors and the tab Vista to fully personalize our work environment.
We may also find other tabs such as Acrobat if we have installed the program on our computer.
However we cannot find the tab Programmer nowhere, and the truth is that if we want take advantage of Excel, I recommend that you activate it and start getting to know some of its most interesting features.
How to activate the Developer tab
In this tab we will find important options such as the possibility of create macro, Add accessories, use XML, Use Visual Basic and many more surprises that we can discover little by little, but in our case we are going to focus on explaining how we can activate this tab, and to do so we only have to open our program Microsoft Office Excel and then we will have to access the tab Archive and here we can see in the left bar access to the program options.
Click on "Options” and a new window will open with several sections to choose from on the left side. In our case we click on “Customize Ribbon".
Now we will see on the right that there are all the tabs that we can see at the top of the page. Excel options bar, and the only thing we will need to do is select the tab “Programmer” and accept, so we will see that it will become part of our regular menu.
In the same way we can also add and remove other bars, and of course, within each bar we will access a menu with all the functionalities that we will have available.
As we can see, it is very comfortable and simple. activate the Developer tab in Excel, and from now on we will have at our disposal a complete system for our macros, Visual Basic, etc.
