Steps to configure Webmail on iOS and Android

Don't you still know how to configure Webmail on your smartphone? Don't worry, this is completely normal. In some cases it is not so easy configure webmail on our mobile devices. And we may find that it is not as simple as log in to Gmail or Outlook, where we will only need to provide our email address and password. That is why we have created this guide in which we show you the steps to follow so that your webmail is completely configured.

We need to keep in mind that, depending on the mobile model, the configuration will be different. It is for this reason that we decided to explain to you how to configure Webmail on your mobile regardless of whether it is Android or iOS.  

Steps to configure Webmail on iOS 

1. First we will have to enter "Settings" and then we enter “Emails, contacts, calendars”.  

2. Next, we will have to enter the option that says "Add Account" and a list will be shown to us, here we will choose “Others”. This is because our email address does not belong to any of the servers on the list. 
3. In the new menu that appears, we select "Add Account". We will be sent to the Webmail configuration process.

Here we will have to add the following information:

1. Name: the name of our email. 

2. Address: here we will add our email account. 

3. Password: in this space we will provide the access password for our email. 

4. Description: It is optional, but will detail account information. 

5. Once this form is filled out, click on "Next". 

6. Now we will have to choose if we want to configure the email as POP o IMAP.  

7. Once one has been chosen we will have to enter the information of the “Incoming mail server” .

• Host name: in this space it will depend on the type of account we want to configure, whether it is IMAP or POP3. In the case of POP3 we will have to add “pop3” at the beginning of the email address, for example pop3.micorreo.es. We would do the same with IMAP and it would look something like imap.micorreo.es. 

• Username: Here we will supply the domain address.  

• Password: this is the password we choose for our email when creating it. 

• Now we will have to add the data for the outgoing email, which will be: 

1. Hostname: the name will be “smtp” followed by the domain name. For example smtp.mypageweb.com. 

2. Username: This is the same one we provided in the incoming email. 

3. Password: this is the same one we added previously.  

• Once these steps are finished we will click on "Following". 

• If in the verification process we are shown an image with a yes or no response option, we will select "Yes". 

• When the process is finished we will have our account configured. 

By following all these steps as we have described them, you will have configured your Webmail email on your iOS mobile.

Steps to configure Webmail on Android 

In the case of Android, the process is simple if we already know what it is like on iOS. 

1. First we will have to enter the applications menu. 

2. There we will execute "Email". 

3. They will ask us to add our email address as well as the password. Once this is done we click on "Following". 

4. We select account type "IMAP".  

5. We fill in all the information requested and click on "Next". 

6. Once these steps are completed we will have to select our email preferences.  

7. Finally we will have to select the username that we want to show in our email and we click on "Next". 

8. Once the verification process is finished, we will have configured the Webmail on our mobile.
