The first mobile phone with a hidden front camera

Chinese manufacturer ZTE has announced that the launch of the first mobile phone with hidden camera will take place on September 1.

The Axon 20 5G smartphone will succeed the Axon 10 Pro 5G and will be presented in China. The main goal of the mentioned feature is to do away with the controversial notch and take advantage of a larger portion of the front of the device.

So far the company has not reported whether the device will be sold in other countries.

The hidden camera

It is speculated that the components used in the construction of this technology are manufactured by Visionox. Additionally, display maker ZTE confirmed in June that it had begun mass production of the hidden front sensor.

In fact, other companies such as Xiaomi, Oppo and Huawei also intend to implement the function soon.

As for the photo set, the smartphone should have a quad camera on the back. The primary sensor should have a resolution of 64 MP and the others 8 MP, 2 MP and 2 MP. For the hidden front camera, the sensor is expected to record up to 32 MP.

Device features

The ZTE Axon 20 5G was registered in the TENAA database, the Chinese agency equivalent to Anatel. The certification notes that the cell phone specifications should include the Snapdragon 765 processor, 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage.

The smartphone should leave the factory with Android 10, Google's latest mobile operating system.

The expected dimensions of the product are 172,1 x 77,9 x 7,9 mm. In addition, the Axon 20 5G will have a 6,92-inch screen and a Full HD+ resolution (2460 x1080 pixels). Speculations also indicate that the smartphone should have a 4.120 mAh battery and fast charging.
