Windows 10 requirements

Microsoft has already officially presented the operating system that will replace Windows 8.1 in the list of its versions. Skipping number 9, Windows 10 will arrive in stores in a few months, in addition to being available in digital download as is customary. Many details of the system have been known thanks to the presentation and many talks and interviews that have been given regarding this latest version of Windows, but there was still something that remained to be known, the system requirements.

Like any other program, the operating system has minimum requirements to function correctly and become the brain that makes our entire computer work.

Windows 10 PC

In order to run Windows 10 on a computer, we must have at least 16 GB of available storage and 1 GB of RAM for the 32-bit version. In the case of the 64-bit one, these figures rise to 20 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM. Any computer, with or without an original license, that has Windows 7 SP1 or Windows 8.1 S14 can be updated directly through the application store. If you do not have one of these versions of Windows, you must update using an ISO.

Not only have they revealed the requirements for the desktop version, we have also been able to find out the minimum requirements for the phone version. The device must have a screen between 3 and 7,99 inches, and these can have different resolutions, ranging from WVGA to QSZGA. As for storage, we must have 4 GB of internal memory, and we can use an external memory card to carry out future system updates in case there is no more space available.
