Google Stadia officially debuts on iOS, with Cyberpunk 2077 in its catalog

Google Stadia took a while, but Google's video game streaming platform, Stadia, has finally landed on iOS, and can only be accessed through a web interface enabled at stadia.google.com.

As expected, access to the platform is done by entering a URL from a browser. This is due to the policies of the North American company Apple, which restricts the execution of video game streaming services from native applications.

If other video game streaming platforms, such as Microsoft xCloud, GeForce Now and Amazon Luna, intend to reach iOS, they will have to follow the same path that Stadia has followed.

According to the Google company, in the countries where the service works, Stadia should already be available for most iOS devices. However, not all iOS users will be able to access Stadia, as only those who have their devices' operating system updated to iOS version 14.3; They will be able to access Stadia.

On iOS devices, the Google Stadia interface replicates the design of the desktop and laptop versions of the website. The latest games added to the Stadia catalog, such as Cyberpunk 2077, are now available in the exclusive interface for iOS.

How to access Stadia from iPhone

Stadia's web interface is not integrated into the Google Assistant app, so Google's artificial intelligence and voice commands are not available at this time. On the other hand, Bluetooth controls, whether on Stadia itself or on another compatible device, can be used if the touch screen does not provide the experience the user needs.

The steps to log in are very simple:

1- Open Safari from your iPhone or iPad.

2- Access the URL “stadia.google.com” (without the quotes).

3- Enter your Stadia account.

You can create a shortcut to the platform on the home screen of your iOS device by creating an icon that, when pressed, directs you to the platform's web address (stadia.google.com).

Stadia prices in the United States start at $9,99 per month. One subscription grants access to over 150 games, including recent hits like Assasin's Creed: Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077, and many more.
