Memboost helps you study while you sleep

memboost is the name of a new tool learning which has been developing in recent years. It is considered a great icon of innovation for current times, thus achieving the support of great academics.

La the memory It is one of the greatest virtues of the human being, among its greatest drawbacks is the inability to remember all the details that we would like. That is why this team has been inspired by this feature to promote learning in a different and very useful way. Get to know this new tool that will help you learn and remember in a better way.

What is the creation principle of Memboost device?

For many years, it has been considered that memory has the capacity at certain times of the day to capture greater amounts of information. These moments occur especially during the night, while sleeping, when there are no external stimuli that require greater use of our memory.

A team headed by a doctor specializing in clinical neurophysiology, Juan A. Barios Heredero, has taken this aspect as a starting point to develop memboost. Broadly speaking, this is a device that is responsible for managing certain moments of sleep phases; in which recording information in memory is much more productive.

His idea comes from publications with a great scientific base, which have shown that, for example, studying before going to sleep, generates greater retention. This device then offers to improve retention by up to 40%, allowing the user to improve their learning and have better results.

So how does this device work?

The project has sought to combine technology with medical sciences, managing to create an academic prototype that already demonstrates results. The main idea consists of a small sensor that would be attached right to the user's forehead, without annoying connections, such as cables.

In turn, this would be linked through Bluetooth technology to a device, it could even be a mobile phone, from which it would be controlled. Once activated, the process of promoting learning would begin, this is done through different sensory stimuli, given specifically in certain phases of sleep.

Such stimulation would result in the brain performs small activities, which would be responsible for increasing the level of user retention. It could then be verified that, unlike the natural process, up to 40% more of what was read or studied the night before would be remembered.

Finally, this team flags the hypothesis that sleep is in charge of promote memory consolidation, this is how it arises memboost. Currently, different tests have been developed that already predict resounding success for this product.

When will this interesting product be available?

For 2015, the team received recognition in the competition actupm, where they were awarded third prize and €5000 for their project. The statements generally announced that Memboost in a way is still under study; so its release to the public would depend on these results.

Currently, it is known that new technologies have been developed based on this prototype and that the search for improvement continues. This device could open the doors to many possibilities; It is known that it is being implemented in a project to improve the memory of older people and reduce the rates of damage caused by age.

Although There is no specific release date, It is expected that this great device will be marketed soon, so that everyone can know its advantages. Without a doubt, technology is advancing by leaps and bounds; This project is reliable proof of what can be created by mix technology with health sciences.
