How good is the Resident Evil 3 Remake?

El Resident Evil 3 remake is a game from the popular action-horror franchise Capcom, launched in PC (Steam), PlayStation 4 (PS4) and Xbox One. As the title suggests, it is inspired by Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, a PlayStation classic originally published in 1999. The star is again the Super Cop Jill Valentine, which is now being hunted by a biological weapon created by Umbrella to "burn files."

The recipe used is very similar to the remake of Resident Evil 2. The game has been modernized and shines with high content, while the story events are more closely related. However, not everything is rosy in the game, even more so for long-time fans.

Action

Scenarios always depend on the immediate responses to Nemesis. For their part, the generators emit a large shock in the area if they are hit by gunshots, explosive barrels that knock down the character immediately and even weapons, ammunition and heavy equipment such as grenades, which also exist in abundance.

This makes it quite easy to deal with the antagonist and perhaps the game It shouldn't be so good, even in the greatest difficulties, to make it more threatening.

Nemesis is not so flashy

Since fans met Tirano, also known as Mr. X, in Resident Evil 2 Remake, the first question that occurred to them was what it would be like Nemesis with this game formula, like a true relentless stalker. As a result, expectations were high and this may have been one of the biggest mistakes, as the main antagonist is not as flashy as he could be.

Nemesis is constant in history, but the moment he consciously acts like a stalker, while the player has to solve problems throughout the scenario, it is at the beginning of the game – portrayed in the demo version available for free by Capcom. All of his other performances are scripted or part of the war against the tyrant, which, although very well produced, takes away from the series' sense of urgency.

When Nemesis appears in his role as a stalker, it is clear that he is not as "honest" as the Mr. X. The ultimate bioweapon teleports in front of the player with huge leaps without a second thought, as well as running towards them to deliver powerful punches and grabs. You can also pull the player at a distance with its tentacles at any time, requiring precision in evasion to avoid being hit. Its arsenal is quite complex, but little used in practice due to the fast pace.

An easier story to digest

The plot takes place in Raccoon City, before the events experienced by Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield in the previous game. Players have long had to recognize settings, characters, enemies, and layouts, but everything was developed to offer a more linear narrative experience. This ensures that there are no selectable campaigns like Resident Evil 2, eliminating potential scripting gaps and questions about the correct order of events.

As in the classic, Jill Valentine meets Carlos Oliveira, a veteran soldier linked to U, right at the beginning of the plot. BCSS – Shadow Biohazard Counter-Operation Measure. Instead of being playable in a separate campaign, it has its moments dedicated to the development of the story and your participation is greater and much more interesting than in the original game.

Capcom has obviously learned its lesson with Resident Evil 2 Remake, so it is offering one of the best plot experiences in the series. Traditionally, games in the series are some of the favorites in terms of speed and detonation, making quick zeros with the right tactics.
