Another sector that surrenders to technology: consultancies

The digital revolution, the one that is making possible what some call Industry 4.0, does not escape any sector. And it seems that it may experience an acceleration thanks to teleworking, whose upward trend we analyzed in this other article. One of the best examples of both facts is the consulting sector, which is increasingly online and less in-person. Here we analyze it.

From the waiting room to the mobile app

Until not too long ago, self-employed people and businessmen used to talk about “going to the consultancy” or “going to see the manager”. This meant traveling and, once in the office, time wasted waiting for one's turn in the waiting room, if an appointment had not been made before. It was a traditional model in which everything was done in physical format: you had to keep the bill of invoices for accounting for the quarter or hand in the forms to request a license or a subsidy.

Now it is quite the opposite: it is the manager who visits the client, but in a virtual way. Current IT solutions allow online communication and remote access to documents shared in the Cloud, whether accounting or any other administrative task. And that can be done not only from a desktop computer, but also from mobile devices.

Custom software, the key to change

This radical change, like any other in the economy, does not arise spontaneously, but there is something behind it that makes it possible. In this case, it is the development of custom and scalable computer programs that adjust to the needs of any office. Thanks to this consulting software traditional ones have been able to move to the digital world and new ones have been able to emerge from scratch, already fully implemented online.

An example of this is the solutions of Aid T SMEs, which are headed in many directions: from supporting offices of different sizes to providing digital marketing tools to attract new clients, without forgetting the training of users through its remote Advisor School.

Examples of tasks that can be done online

Thanks to the digital signature, there are practically no tasks impossible to carry out online with the Administration. And thanks to digital advisory software, there are no limits to the interaction between manager and client. This is a list of tasks that can be carried out remotely:

  • Make invoices
  • Scan documents
  • Register or cancel personnel in Social Security
  • Chat or speak via videoconference to resolve questions

For all these reasons, the forecasts for the nearest future indicate that the digitalization of consultancies will continue unstoppable, benefiting not only clients but also the companies themselves, reducing expenses and time in their operation.
