Facebook will enable the management of multiple profiles from a single account

Users who logged into Facebook with multiple accounts have always been subject to restrictions. However, given the current situation, which involves competition with other platforms that are increasingly popular - such as the case of TikTok and Instagram-, Meta may have to modify its plans. A new feature that allows you to manage different Facebook accounts in a simple way has already been tested.

At the moment, only a select group of Facebook users can use this feature, which allows you to create, add and manage up to five different profiles through a single login to the social network's website or app, in a similar way. as you can already do on Instagram. With this method, users can keep their work and personal lives separate, while still seeing the profiles of their friends and loved ones. The company run by Mark Zuckerberg He hopes that, with this new functionality, people will spend more time on Facebook.

It will only require a couple of clicks to switch between one profile or another, which will simplify accessibility to different accounts. Additional profiles that do not have an account do not need to show the original name of their owners if they do not include numbers or special characters. Users' real names are still required to appear on their main accounts.

It is prudent to highlight the fact that, until recently, Meta considered the creation of multiple separate profiles to be in direct conflict with the rules of use of the social network. Users who want to organize their interests more efficiently may find this new feature useful. Additional profiles must also comply with Facebook policies and may incur penalties for violating them, just as with any individual account.
