Windows 11 22H2, the next major OS update already has a date

Microsoft is conducting final testing with version 22H2 of Windows 11. This is the first significant update that will be released during the second half of this year. The best ones encompass greater performance and security, and will benefit not only PC and laptop owners, but also tablet users. The new version is codenamed “Sun Valley 2,” and current Windows 11 users will be able to download it for free.

According to information from TheVerge portal, Windows 11 22H2 will begin arriving on supported devices starting September 20. The improvements implemented in the user interface will make using the operating system even easier and more comfortable. For example, we will soon have the ability to drag and drop files to the taskbar. Another interesting novelty is the integration of voice recognition software called Nuance Dragon.

Another significant change is that the file explorer will now make use of tabs. The Start menu has also been improved, which now allows you to create folders for the applications you have installed, as well as change the display size of the elements in this panel. Likewise, Windows 11 22H2 will have a renewed taskbar.

After the update, users will see a small menu titled 'Recommended Actions' every time they copy a date or phone number. Additional settings have been added to the Settings menu, including the ability to customize the number of apps displayed in the Start Menu.

Microsoft may reveal additional details about Windows 11 22H2 days before it releases the update at the end of September. At the same time, the American company recently announced its plans to expand official support for Android apps in Windows 11 to more countries.
